Payne Bible College
Mission of the Payne Bible College (PBC):
This course is to equip and to train for ministry service and the Christian’s ministry. That one place of service may eventually be either a leadership, lay, or fulltime ministry.
While PBC will require you to move on campus for an extended period; PCB certainly requires a "solid time commitment." That will mean an average of three hours each week for study that the courses be taken serious to completions. With the time investment, you will be equipped weekly and monthly from Payne Bible College with your materials.
Admissions:
Must complete your application with an endorsement from your local church minister.
Your are expected to serve in a church, within a church, especially a local church while completing your studies. Must be a committed Christian believer and committed to the church’s leadership in church ministry for at least two years before application for admission into the Payne Bible College and a member of a local church for at least one year. The minimum age for this study and to graduate from PBC with the degree in Theology is at least twenty-one years of age.
Leadership that may apply to study in PBC:
Leaders of the Church worldwide and other ministries, including our Apostles, Bishops, Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers, Women’s leadership, etc. Existing staff members of our local churches and other ministries that have a desire to be further equipped for service, while still continuing in their present ministry.
Men and women above the age of twenty years, and active in church’s ministry life for at least two years since their conversion to Christ. Payne Bible College’s policy of admissions is OPEN. Any person who can meet the criteria for admission will be admitted. This policy is founded in the College’s conviction the 5-fold ministry and its relationship to the Body of Christ. Payne Bible College does not withhold admission to any student based on their gender, race, or physical disability.
The length of the course depends upon the students. The course in Theology is offered to be completed in a 2-year period. The annual study-year is from March thru November of each year. The class and study materials are designed in segments to be covered over that period of time. Some students may take longer if they wish, however there is a maximum of three years to complete the requirement before the student graduates or a Degree is awarded. The course is designed to give an integration of Biblical studies, practice and personal development in leadership ministry. While a graduating certificate is awarded to all students completing their studies, the goal is ministry preparation, qualification, leadership training, capable and ready for ongoing Christian service.
Cost, Fees, and How Payments are Made:
The cost of the books and fees for students beginning in 2003 and completing their studies within two consecutive years of work will be an average or approximation of $650 to $750 in (US currency). These charges cover the following:

Fee Distribution:
Application Fee - $20 per person. This amount is non-refundable or transferable
Enrollment Fee - $100 after you are accepted. This amount is due within 14 days of acceptance notification. This is subtracted from your total course fees.
Balance of Total Course Fees – The balance of fees will be paid by a bank check, money order, or online PayPal payment and will consist of 24 monthly payments of $25. The first payment must be received at Payne Bible College’s business office in the second month of your studies after enrollment.
After your enrollment fee has been received at the Payne Bible College’s campus, the Registrar’s office will forward the pre-course assignment materials which relate to the introductory course that is to begin at least ten weeks after the date of your enrollment. We will send you an "approval credit form" when you are enrolled, after acceptance into the school and the Degree Program.

NOTE: The following are study requirements:
A scheduled study of 24 weeks each year: This is covered through supplied learning materials and interactive distance tutoring from PBC’s Campus. A "Mentoring Relationship" (when required and applied) with and experienced pastor, minister or Christian leader close to the "home location" of the student. This is generally your local church minister or pastor. Mentoring requires a time of commitment of at least thirty minutes with personal contact. Our Chief Apostle is available to all without this covering in senior leadership.
Degree of Theology II:
Description: A two or three year, 250 credit degree program in theology. Studies include – church’s foundation and leadership in ministry studies, biblical theology, kingdom study and missions that integrate class work, research methodology, practical experience and personal Christian spiritual formation. This degree is a requirement for leadership in the Christ Churches Episcopal leadership of the church. It is designed and taught to prepare our leadership and lay person with the standards of the Church’s Ministry.

Payne Bible College invites applications from individuals who are committed to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. Such Commitments should embrace:
An acceptance of the Bible as God’s revelation to man and His plan of the Ages Doctrinal soundness, New Testament’s pattern of ministry. A commitment and dedication to Christian leadership and holy living.
A desire to offer and communicate the Kingdom’s Gospel to today’s world.
It is understood that the working of the Holy Spirit in a student’s life is necessary for him or her to obtain the greatest benefit from study. Each prospective student should know Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior, and is expected to be a member in good standing of the Christ International Churches, Inc., or a local church of believers. Must have an ability to understand the English language, proficiency in reading, writing and working in English at the level of the course’s instruction is required. Good health is essential to successful study. All applicants are required to forward the Payne Bible College a medical statement with their application form. 24-hours resident study required for degree.
Course Accreditation:
As this is a part-time study school, it does have the accreditation of the Association of Christian Schools. The courses are in strict accord with the Payne Christian Academy’s Ministry and Bible College Christian Ministry International Program, which as a full-time school has many course approvals and accreditation within the State of Mississippi.
Brief History:
In October 1976, Founder and First President, Bishop J.L. Payne, D.D., arranged a special meeting in the college’s interest. The college was formed and founded at the site of the Greater Miracle Community Temple Church, Greenville, Mississippi where Bishop Payne was founder and pastor. The college was formed and founded. A college board was appointed. Sincere Christians joined in prayer with president of the college and its newly appointed board in this magnanimous effort for Christ. Continuous prayer is being offered for God’s constant guidance and direction.
Primary Purpose & Uniqueness:
The outstanding need to very country is to fulfill Christ’s mission, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." It is the primary purpose of Payne Bible College to meet this need by establishing students in the basic concepts of the Bible, with in-depth study into the Gospels and the Epistles, and by training them in "action experience with deeper Christian knowledge and devotion to the proper methods of approach in the various fields of Christian service."
